Azra Made Me Do It

Greetings, ladies and germs, and welcome to another thrilling post on PuddingFancy!

*glitter rains from the heavens*
*children cheering in the background*

Today, we've got something extra special and TWICE as juicy and exciting for you.

Are you ready?

Because this is the first (and last) edition of...

WHO WORE IT BETTER?

Featuring these two lovely ladies from DMC 05,

In case you haven't spotted it yet, they are both wearing rompers that are, gasp! Both in black! AMAZING!! This totally renders enough worthiness for me to take pictures and write a whole blog post about! Thanks Azra!! :DDDDD *thumbs up*

***

Okay so in the right corner, we have the astonishingly adorable Azra~!! (oooh alliteration is fun)

Pint-sized and undeniably lovable, Azra wears a beautiful piece which really showcases her sweetness and femininity. The intricate lace adornments next to the collared top add a touch of class to this fun and playful romper, perfect for her lively and cheerful energy. Azra keeps her ensemble simple with minimal accessories and pair of flats in a lovely shade of green, putting a pop of colour into her cute little outfit.

And over on the other side, we have the oh-so-gorgeous Nerissa NWS!

(little warning: Nerissa's photo was a little unglam so I photoshopped her beloved dog, Choco's head on instead lmao you have been warned)

(but anyways there's tons of photos of her beautiful face on this blog so you know where to find them! *wink*)

This romper effectively shows off Nerissa's model-worthy legs. It can't be seen in the photos in this post, but Nerissa's version actually features interesting shoulder cut-outs (nah I give you link to her #ootd post on Instagram ok. don't say I got good thing never share hehehe). The drape-y effect of the faux sleeves create an element of sheer elegance in this piece, but is countered with a fabulous denim biker jacket thrown on top, featuring a favourite of Nerissa's: spikes! A great choice of outerwear that's equally stylish as well as practical for the chilly environment of our airconditioned classrooms. The look is completed with preppy footwear that throws in some girly flair, even the cute ribboned socks!

***

So who do you think wore the black romper better? Will it be the saccharine Azra, future loving wife of Niall Horan (that lucky guy), or va-va-voom Nerissa with legs that go on for miles and miles (just go and become a model already goddamn)?

Whoever gets your pick, make sure to comment down below!

(or don't.)

(this is not a real contest okay)

(just so you know la)

(bye bye.)

JEM

Here are a bunch of food pics taken when I was at JEM. These were from a while back, some time in August before a chunk of the ceiling freaking COLLAPSED in the middle of nowhere lol.

Yummy scrummy Cobb Salad from America's Best Salads.

I hate how salad places always charge an arm and a leg, but salads just taste SO DAMN GOOD OMG.

This particular one had fried chicken in it, which tasted AMAZING but probably wasn't that healthy lol.

Buckaroo BBQ Chicken Burger from Earle Swensens. The cheese and mushrooms were delicious and the BBQ sauce was EXQUISITE.

Nowadays when I eat something really nice I just go "YUM, YUM, YUM, YUM, YUM DELICIOUSO~!" a la Dora The Explorer but my mum just stares at me and says "whut" because she doesn't get the reference lmao.

Chocolate fondue~!

Let's be honest, fondues are just one of the things where the food isn't exceptional but it's just a fan favourite because of how fun it is to eat it. Like hotpots, teppanyakis, roasting marshmallows over an open fire, basically anything which requires you to do some cooking yourself before you savour the precious little morsels of food. It's because there's work and effort put into every bite, and it's an activity.

Heart-shaped strawberry awwww kawaii-neh~! ♡

Before I end this post off, here's something I saw on the wall of NTUC Fairprice (sidenote: how awesome is it that the Fairprice Finest at JEM only closes at 11 PM? I just LOVE going places outside late in the night and I also LOVE hanging out at supermarkets coz that's where the fun is at lol. Yup, that's me, teenager who hates clubbing and alcohol but finds immense excitement in whizzing around the aisles of a supermarket and admiring all the wonderful products available in our world) where they have traditional Chinese teachings of all the values that good children should have:

Notice the cat, aka the victim of the wrongdoing lol?

HE DREW A XIAO LONG BAO IN THE SHAPE OF ITS FACE HAHHAHAHAHAHAHA DYINGGG

Suki-Ya

This post is actually so overdue that, for a brief moment, I had completely forgotten about its existence. But the folder of Sukiya photos was just sitting there on my desktop, haunting me every time I sat down to use my Macbook.

So during the second week of our two month long semestral break, Kenneth, Nerissa and I headed over to Bugis Plus (Bugis+) to have Suki-ya. Oh my gosh this was like one and a half months ago...Somebody please give me a badge of honour of efficient blogging or something jeez. Anyways, for those of you who are unfamiliar, Suki-ya specialises in sukiyaki (Japanese stew/hot pot) and shabu shabu (thinly sliced meats).

I absolutely love buffets so an all-you-can-eat hotpot/shabu shabu fest sounded like perfection to me :))

The decor there was really something else. You have to experience it yourself to see how beautiful everything is. There were like pretty trees sprouting from the concrete ground with Autumn leaves and shimmering lights, damn.

Yay meat :D

I'm sorry to all the vegetarians out there who are convulsing right now lol.

How does one even live without meat?! I for one cannot survive more than 12 hours without lovely, succulent meat chomp chomp chomp I'm a caveman sometimes ☺

Some other yummies we ordered for the hot pot buffet:

Yeah, I'm one of those people. You know, people who pay good money to dine in a buffet setting but instead end up filling their tummies with instant noodles which you can easily purchase at a supermarket for a few cents. As much as I hate myself for it, considering how I already get full REALLY quickly, instant noodles are just the bomb okay. They have that delectable flavour and aroma that is subtle yet robust at the same time, if that makes sense.

Leafy greens are trunitious. (that's tasty and nutritious to my non-rapper friends)

(i kid)

Bamboo shoots are amazing, if you throw them out when you eat ramen then shame on you. SHAME ON YOU!!

Of course we had to experiment and make our own unique dipping sauce from their range of offerings :))

Didn't really try all the exotic seafood ingredients since I'm not a huge fan of seafood (especially the highly processed kind) and I didn't want to risk getting an allergic reaction coz quite frankly, I don't even know what kinds of seafood I'm allergic to. But what I can tell you is, the cheesy chicken balls were AMAZING. More on that later.

PRO TIP #37: If you're ever having hot pot/steamboat, invite Kenneth/Kenny B/Kenneta/Kenny Kenny Longtime/KaiLun/Boris The Eel (that's still Kenneth)/Chocolate Thunda along. This lil buttock is a freaking WHIZ at preparing the eggs I don't even know where he mastered this skill or when he mastered this fine art but damn, son.

Look at that technique! Look at the results?!!!

Nothing beats that shit, man. Nothing. It tasted soooo good and the texture and everything was just perfect. The flavour of the stock was totally infused into the beaten, fluffy egg pieces. Sure beats having you crack your egg whole into the soup, that's for basic bitches. (like you)

(kidding)

Seriously, I can't speak on Nerissa's behalf but I was just staring in awe the whole time Master Kinnuth did his magic, my jaw hanging ajar.

Okay that's enough raving about eggs, let's move on to RAVING ABOUT CHEESY CHICKEN BALLS.

*glitter falls from the ceiling and angels cascade from the sky playing harps and that...other intrument that angels play...what is it? it's like a trumpet kind of thing? is it a vuvuzela? no, probably not...*

Okay I Googled it and apparently it's just plain ol' trumpets lol.

But anyways, the point is: CHEESY CHICKEN BALLS ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

That moment the savoury cheese sauce bursts into your mouth, MAMMA MIA. Your head starts spinning and images of cute lil puppies running across daisy fields fill your mind. The feelings of bliss and wonder are so overwhelming that you feel the need to grab onto the arm of the person sitting next to you lest you fall over the railings and plummet down one floor of the shopping mall in a moment of giddiness induced by excruciating levels of indulgence.

Or maybe that's just me.

The amount of meat we devoured between the three of us lol.

And to top it all of, we concluded our meal with...

I was so excited about the fact that there was an ice cream machine at the buffet station that I literally shrieked when I first saw it.

It was a disappointment, however, as the chocolate flavoured ice cream turned out to be more of a very lightly chocolate flavoured ice confection :((

Not sure if you guys can tell from the photo, but it doesn't even look creamy. All in all, it tasted bad, real bad Michael Jackson.

The vanilla wasn't bad though, but still. *sad face*

We were way over the stipulated time frame (which I think is 100 minutes, if I recall correctly) so the last few minutes we were rushing like maniacs to stuff as much food as possible down our gullets. Part of it was to get as much food for the price we paid for as possible, but we were also worried that they'd fine us for food wastage lol. There's a lil sticker on every table that states 20% of your bill will be charged for food wastage, but it wasn't very detailed and we didn't want to take the chance. Nevertheless, we just couldn't swallow another bite so we eventually left behind quite a lot of cooked food floating around in the pot, a result of overestimating how much we could eat.

But in the end, we weren't fined for anything so yay for that :D

The three of us were pretty much bursting at the seams after the smorgasbord so we carefully tottered around Bugis+ for a while before Ner had to go back to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with her family (Quote: "I wanna go play with the lanterns!! ^_^").

Fun fun fun at the arcade~!

Loud noises terrify me lol.

On one hand this looks so adorable and squishy but then you realised somebody probably minced Pooh and moulded his remains into a ball devoid of any facial features and body parts. Yeah, my mind works in morbid ways.

My outfit for that day:

Okie dokie artichokie, it's like three in the morning and I have to wake up in about...oh great! Four hours to get ready for work!

Not that fussed about it though because after my shift I'll be heading over to one of my favourite places on Earth, Changi Airport, to send my dad off on a business trip.

See you guys soon~!

xoxo

Halloween, DMC Style

I am such a failure.

So obviously the plan was to have my Halloween blog post published the night of Halloween itself. I had all the photos edited and ready to go at 9PM which was nice and safe. Or so I thought...

Three more hours to go before midnight, and I was feeling kinda weary so I thought I'd go and take a quick nap. It wasn't really an option, I knew I would never be able to complete typing out a whole blog entry without having a little power nap to energise myself.

Nowadays I find it almost impossible to get it through the day without taking naps :( And the worst part is, I usually take them in the late evening after I end school/work and have had a shower. And the naps ALWAYS spiral into three or four hour long snooze fests. I can NEVER muster up enough self-control and discipline to jump out of my warm and cozy bed when the alarm I've set goes off 45 minutes to an hour after I've started sleeping! It's just not possible!!

So by now you might've guessed what went wrong last night...

I set three alarms for myself, ranging from 9.45 PM to 10.

Yet I was somehow so exhausted that I managed to sleep through ALL THREE OF THEM?!?!!!

What on Earth, it was literally like the alarms never happened. Like I was dead or something when they went off.

I was probably in the deepest stage of sleep, where one would be totally unresponsive to external stimulators. Which is that, Stage 4 or REM sleep? Omg I've completely forgotten...Sorry Ms Kwa!!

But anyway, I was out like a light. For four hours, I concussed.

And therefore, my Halloween post is out not on the actual day itself, but on November 1st.

:(((

You have no idea how much this riles me up.

I literally opened my eyes and realised how much I've screwed myself over (and also how well-rested I was but that's besides the point) before picking up my phone and saying a quick final prayer before the screen flashed 1:05 AM at me and that's when I started screaming internally and spluttering in regret.

Okay so that's the story of how I effed up my plans of having perfectly dated Halloween posts. You would think that this isn't even a big of a deal, especially to someone who blogs about events three months to a year after they've transpired (i.e Me) or sometimes even never. But like I said, this really bothers me.

So without further ado, here's

HALLOWEEN 2013

Basically, there was Halloween event organised by the awesome Year Twos from my course.

Here's the online poster for it:

Not much was revealed about the event itself, we were just told that attendance was compulsory.

Prior to learning about the mandatory event, I hadn't planned on dressing up for Halloween at all. I'm pretty sure I've never celebrated Halloween before my whole life. Definitely not in Singapore, and not even during the period of time I lived in Perth. I had wanted so badly to go trick or treating but my parents insisted I was too young at the time. And my mum was obsessed with the idea of me being murdered at the doorstep of some stranger's house :((

So this was pretty exciting for me.

I wasn't keen on buying or renting a whole costume, ain't nobody got money fo dat. So I was scrolling through Tumblr to get Halloween makeup ideas and boy, that really fueled by creativity and excitement!

Presenting to you, my first attempt ever at dressing up for Halloween...

:D

For somebody with zero experience whatsoever, I'd say this is pretty decent don't you think? I didn't even do a trial run or anything lol. I basically whipped out my eyeliner at the beginning of our Professional Communication tutorial and started doodling all over my face.

Speaking of which, the entire three hour PC 'tutorial' turned into the whole class sorting out their makeup and costumes and thereafter taking pics with each other. Mr Kenneth is kinda awesome hahaha xD

I was supposed to be a living dead doll btw. Mainly my eyes were really dark and one of them had black stuff dripping out of it lol, my mouth was split wide open and stitched back together, my cheeks were really rosy (can't really be seen in the photo but I actually used my lipstick as a substitute for blusher, which was awful coz my face got really greasy by the end of the night and IT GAVE ME PIMPLES OMFGGGG) and I threw on a corset-like belt on top of my regular outfit lol.

So here are the photos I took with some of my superfundifferous (100 points to people who know what that is from) classmates, and what I think/remember their costumes to be lol. Correct me if I'm wrong! :P

Girl Whose Eyes Are Bleeding From Watching Too Much TV

(how morbidly apt for Vanessa who is by far the most addicted to TV friend I know)

Crackling Porcelain Doll Face

BEAUTIFUL MAKEUP SKILLS OMG I COULDN'T STOP STARING

(sexy) Witch

(sexy) Cleopatra

Why are all the SDZ girls so hot like, damn.

Audrey Hepburn

I am very angry at how this photo does not do Rachael's costume justice AT ALL. She looked so stunning omg when I first caught a glimpse of her getup in the lecture theatre I couldn't stop marvelling at the sheer beauty of it all. She's just so classy and elegant by nature and the dress, fancy bun and cute little accessories really topped it all off. Probably one of my favourite looks of the day :))

Hariz as The Joker/one half of The Blood Brothers

My all-time favourite photo taken on the day, thank you Kenneth for your awesome photography skills! Even though you secretly took a selfie on the first try hahaha.

The picture is so perfect I couldn't even bear to Photoshop words on it lol.

Wednesday Addams, from The Addams Family

My other favourite costume of the day. She also really looks like the girl from The Orphan, whose name is interestingly Esther as well HAHA.

Super Duper Pretty Fairy Who Turned Gore-y Halfway Through The Day

Vampire? I'm not very sure lol but I helped with the eye makeup so yay!

Here are some love hearts for you as promised, Summer. ❤❤♥♥♥♥♡♡♡❤❤♡❤❤♡♡♥♥♥♥♡❤❤♡♡❤♡♡♥♥♥♥♥♥♡♡♥♥♥♥♡
Love you many many!! Kisses~*

Awesome Skeleton Face

Ignore the nugget in the centre.

Girl Who Got Boxed In The Face and Bruise Started Bleeding (??!)

I honestly don't know, but I did his eye makeup so yay me.

My eyeliner kept snapping against his RIGID EYELIDS, and I ended up finishing the whole stick because of him. NOT COOL, BUDDY!! But he was my first willing victim to have me draw makeup all over his face so that's cool :))

Freaking amazing Half Skeleton Face + Arm

Why is this girl so hot and talented idek.

That's all the photos with my classmates!

Off we go to the hilltop~!

Squeezing as per normal in the elevator except this time we're all dressed up hehehe.

So basically the event consisted of about six or so stations at which we had to find clues as a class and eventually solve a murder mystery (WHO KILLED MS KWA?!! it was her birthday somemore lol you guys are terrible)

I really wanted it to be scary but in the end I spent most of the time laughing at everything lol good try you guys, I appreciate the effort put in xD

Highlight of the night would probably be when Sarah and I went to the toilet to tinkle and when I was done I went to open the door but this random student opened it first and she was about to walk in when she saw my face and she literally yelped and LEAPT BACK in terror omg I am not kidding you. SHE JUMPED. BACKWARDS. IN FEAR.

And I was just dumbfounded like I didn't know what to do, I wasn't even trying to scare her or anything I was just being my normal self except I had terrifying makeup on and I was doing my neutral face which I guess would already be pretty frightening on its own. But the girl was still really stunned and she was like"...sorrry...sorry..." and I just felt soooo bad omg lol I should've been the one apologising but alas I didn't coz I was still in so much shock I just walked away like woah wtf happened.

And it would've been super mean to laugh at her so Sarah and I made sure that we walked a fair distance away from the toilets before we burst out in laughter hahahaha.

Random pic taken with my pal from Vocal Talents after the event ended.

Adorable Patchwork Doll

***

Alrighty friends, I guess that's all! Hope all of you had a spooky fun time this Halloween!

Ending off the post with a photo of my door, my mum seriously has way too much time on her hands lol.

There were like three Bangladesh construction workers who were doing renovations for our next door neighbour who stood in front of our house admiring our decorations lmao. They were discussing it and making impressed sounds like "woah", "wahhhh", "so scary" LOL it was so cute.

Okay see ya :D
