I cannot BELIEB my last post was half a year ago. I guess that's what happens when you get into your first relationship!! The free hours I used to have to spare on writing and photo-editing now go into dates, cuddly evenings together, and staring into blank space with a heart full of love pining for the next time I get to see him again.

I had this caesar salad today and it was one of the best I've ever had. Decent amount of parmesan cheese, well-mixed without it getting too heavy-handed with the dressing especially towards the end. Croutons were homemade and very flavourful, huge and chunky in size too! Roasted chicken was abundant and hella tasty.

Perhaps the most important of all...The salad leaves weren't dripping wet from a shoddy job of drying off after washing the veggies. I hate that shit!! Nothing ruins a salad quite like some gnarly, soggy lettuce where the sink water is mixed in with the dressing and results in some god-awful cloudy pool of flavoured down nonsense welling up at the bottom of your bowl.

$11 from Salad Chef, good shit good shit~

Oh yeah I also bought a Mango Yakult drink from a juice stall. $3.80 for that small cup, which is pretty steep but ehh. It was pretty fuckin yummy ^_^

Mango is one of my favourite fruits to be juiced coz it's just so naturally sweet, creamy and refreshing at the same time. Chucking a bottle of Yakult in it just makes it all the more light and fruity. Yum yum <3

Although my go-to is mango and orange, coz the sourness of oranges cuts through the richness of mangoes and gives it such a well-balanced tang. Amazing!!

Ok I'm gonna stop talking about fruit juices before I go crazy and start writing an in-depth list of my Top 10 favourites lmao

(Breakfast Juice is my all-time fave. Gahhhh!! Who wouldn't love a sweet and creamy blend of seasonal fruits, including BANANA ohmygod early in da morning?? Perfection omg)

Was craving some duck rice a few nights ago when Shan and I were in the middle of buttfuck nowhere at some industrial zone in Tai Seng. We walked to the nearest kopitiam and, lo and behold, there was a duck rice stall!!

Which is super rare, mind you.

What's even crazier was that, apart from the zi char restaurant and the drink stall, duck rice was the only shop operating within that kopitiam.

MINDBLOWN SIA!!!! Is guanyin niang niang shining good luck upon me or what?? T^T

The duck rice itself wasn't anything to shout about but.....Lemme just tell y'all something. The lime juice was subLIME ok (lol geddit? i m amazed with myself wahahaha)

Not sure if it had something to do with the fact that I was extra thirsty (huehuehue) but each gulp that descended down my throat was DIVINE. Have yet to try a glass of ice cold lime juice so gosh darn flawless and refreshing that it shakes me to my core.

Very heartbroken that I will have to travel all the way down to the middle of scenic nowhere for me to be reunited with it ever again... :'(

The next day we had this glorious Hainanese curry rice at Liang Court, aka the 24-hour food court where toxic ass club rats go to fuel up after a night of sweatin' it out on the dancefloor. And refilling their potentially empty digestive systems after hurling it bare due to one too many vodkas.

Seriously, the sight of scantily clad drunkards with a face caked with makeup (except the matte lipstick smudged from making out with a random ah beng at Zouk, and one false eyelash has come undone and is loosely flapping in the 3a.m wind) projectile vomiting like Merlion's long-lost sister is enough to scar you for life and deter any subsequent visits to Clarke Quay past 10 in the evening.

But the curry rice was incredible, though! :D

Lime juice was disappointing :(

I keep trying to find worthy alternatives to the one I had with the duck rice but NOTHING COMES CLOSE. This one was too watered down, thin and not sweet enough. *sobs*

Oh ya, if you're wondering what that murky swamp green coloured beverage is that Shan was sippin' on (with his beautifully tattooed and gloriously buff forearm, UNFFFF. wish it were groping this BUM of mine right about now.....*moans loudly out of my HDB window in the hopes of him being able to hear my mating call and promptly making his way to my home...via Flying*), it's water chestnut juice lol

The next photo was taken ages ago, where I went to Little India with Shan and had yummy authentic nosh without ludicrous tourist-trap prices! Yes! I'm talkin' bout you, Newton Food Centre! Your mark-ups are utterly ridiculous and if not for the fact that I had one of my first ever dates with Shan within your spaces, I would hate you with a passion!

$5.20 for a large cup of fruit juice?? Come on bro wtf are you putting in that blender, apples important from the trees of Wakanda and hand-delivered to your stall by Michael B. Jordan?? (just kidding lol Shan doesn't really fancy the idea of me having a crush on the Killmonger and I'm pretty sure if he so much as read Michael's name being mentioned just one paragraph after i was talking about us having our Newton date, he would have a fit lol)(hello baby, i love youuuu~! *kissy kissy* lol)

Honey prata and naan (garlic butter, i think) with masala chicken. Yummmmmmm~~!!

The drinks aren't lime juice, btw. Despite having the fruit inside them. The drink itself is actually iced lemon tea! Or, as locals would order it, teh-o limau ais.

Quick breakdown lesson:

Teh = tea
O = dark, as in black tea, so it's not added with milk to become "light" (in colour)
Limau = lemon
Ais = ice!

Isn't it amazing lol  I LOVE LANGUAGES!!

ok bye

hopefully i don't disappear again and leave this blog for dead lol
